Playground’s renovation

SOS Children’s Villages Ukraine is a non-governmental charity. It is a member of the International Federation SOS Children’s Villages (SOS Kinderdorf International). It works in accordance with the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child and disseminates its principles. Established in Ukraine in 2003, and a partner of the FM Foundation since 2020, SOS Children’s Villages is committed to protecting children deprived of parental care. Psychological support is provided to their families so that they can return to a stable living environment.

What child among us has never spent a summer evening on a swing, not wanting to go home even though it was getting dark? A play area is an important part of a child’s development. It’s a place to learn how to interact with others, to develop motor functions, to express creativity, to dream and to expend the overflow of energy that is so familiar to children.

When FM Foundation heard that the playground at SOS Children’s Villages in Brovary was in need of renovation, it didn’t hesitate to donate €2,200. Thanks to this donation, several swings, a turnstile, a slide, paint and other supplies were purchased to restore the playground.

For several days, 6 FM Logistic employees, from the technical department and the warehouse, worked hard to refurbish the playground so that children could enjoy it and, above all, use it safely.
